OpenAI, one of the world leaders in artificial intelligence, has just announced that its The official ChatGPT app is now available for iPhone in over 40 countries, including Brazil. The company already announced the release of the app for iOS mobile phones last week, but it has not yet been made available for download by users outside the US.

The app is free to usealthough the ChatGPT Plus service costs $19.99 per month, offering high-demand availability, faster response times, and priority access to new features such as GPT-4, the most advanced version of ChatGPT. An OpenAI account is required to use the app.which can be downloaded from the App Store.

Released in Europe before Bard

Brazilians, one of the main users of generative artificial intelligence, can now download the app. It has also arrived in several European Union countries, serving the entire block with ChatGPT via iPhone. This puts the tool ahead of Google, which has yet to make Bard available in the region.

The expansion of ChatGPT’s availability exemplifies OpenAI’s commitment to compete globally, even in highly regulated regions such as the European Union. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently came out in defense of AI regulation in the US, but raised concerns about the EU AI Act, calling it “over-regulation” of the emerging industry.
