Three priests under investigation

Previously, church sources reached EFE that Daniel Ortega’s government froze bank accounts at least three of the nine dioceses of the Church Catholic.

The dioceses with their limited bank accounts are the dioceses of Managua, led by Cardinal Brenes, and the dioceses of Matagalpa and Esteli, in charge of imprisoned Bishop Rolando Alvarezwho last February was sentenced to more than 26 years in prison for crimes considered “high treason”.
