After several months of case analysis Reuters claims that the US court finally released its final decision, and Apple had to pay $50 million in consumer damages due to a problematic laptop keyboard.

What sparked a consumer class action lawsuit against the manufacturer involved the company’s throttle mechanism, which has been marketed as an innovative design for years. The newspaper notes that a representative of the manufacturer declined to speak about this case, and the company has also previously denied any malfunctions in the keyboards.
In total, more than 86,000 payout claims have been filed in the lawsuit, and people will receive amounts from $50 to $395, with the amount depending on the repair of users’ keyboards.
