WhatsApp is working on business features and screen sharing option

Depending on the version, users of different beta versions of WhatsApp can enjoy some new business features, including the ability to share your screen during a video call.

Several new – business – features are popping up in various beta versions of WhatsApp. For example, depending on which version users are testing, there’s now the ability to share your screen during a video call.

Sharing is caring

This feature of sharing your screen seems to be the most important. It is in beta version 2.23.11.19 and is an option in video calls. With the press of a button, attendees can acknowledge and you can share what’s on your screen.

Important to know: The part of the conversation in which screen sharing is active is also recorded immediately.

The archive

Business users can now save their status to a “status archive” after 24 hours and re-share it in the future if needed. Currently, this feature does not appear to be available for individuals.

For those who miss the usernames of MSN long ago, there may be good news. In the 2.23.11.15 beta version, you can choose a unique username, which will then be linked to your account.

For example, in the future you can search for someone using that username instead of a phone number. Conversations starting with this username are encrypted end-to-end.
