According to Ukrinform, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine reports in a Telegram.
The government’s computer emergency response team in Ukraine, CERT-UA, operating under the auspices of the State Special Communications Service, uncovered the fact that emails about “chemical attack” were distributed in mass.
The emails contain a link to an XLS document that contains the malicious JesterStealer to open and a macro that will harm the computer.
According to CERT-UA, files are downloaded from compromised web resources.
JesterStealer can be downloaded from Internet browsers, MAIL / FTP / VPN clients, crypto wallets, password managers, messengers, gaming programs, etc. allows authentication and theft of other data.
It was detected that the stolen data in Telegram was transmitted to the attacker. When finished, the program is uninstalled.
According to the State Special Service, as Ukrinform reported, the invaders are trying to access personal data and government records through private computers and mobile phones.
