At Computex 2023, HP presented news for its range of storage. Without being specialists, the big computer manufacturers also make storage devices that they install in their computers or sell them separately.
The HP P900 Portable SSD It is the most interesting of what is presented. It is a fairly compact external SSD drive with dimensions of 71 x 52 x 8.6 mm and a weight of 60 g, so it can be easily carried and connected to almost any computer, since it uses a port as widespread as USB.

It connects externally to a Type-C port and internally works on a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface. Very, very fast, it achieves sequential read and write transfer speeds 2000 MB/s. It will come with a 3-year warranty, come in grey, black, silver, green and pink and will be sold in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities. Very interesting, because today SSDs are widely used as client storage for our computers, but they also show their advantages for external storage, as they combine high performance with overall mobility.
HP is also exhibiting at the show Internal SSD FX900 Plusan M.2 drive connected to the PCIe 4.0 interface and achieving performance close to the bus limit, 7,400 MB/s sequential read and 6,700 MB/s sequential write.

It includes up to 2 GB of cache memory to accelerate data and with a five-year warranty, it will be offered with storage capacities of 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB.

HP also announced at the Taiwan trade show external memory cards Designed for the professional market, for photographic or video tasks that require the high performance provided by the presented CFast CFA100, CFexpress CFX100 and NM cards.
