The e-Management Academy recognized the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation for cooperation in the development of the Ukrainian e-signature, especially Action.Signature-EU, which meets EU standards.

This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Development, Digital Transformation, reported that Ukrinform refers to the Ministry of Digital Affairs.

“Action.Signature is one of the most revolutionary services we have created. It is a core service for digital countries that allows you to receive services online. Action Signature-EU has been aligned with the European Commission’s electronic signature platform and Ukraine has entered the EU Trust List. “We are the first non-EU country to be on this list. This opens up new opportunities for every Ukrainian and for Ukraine in general.”

Fedorov stated that the work on the recognition of Ukraine e-signature by EU countries started in 2017. Within the framework of cooperation, legislative changes were made, negotiations were held with the European Commission and technical solutions were implemented. In total, more than 70 laws were changed and Ukrainian electronic trust services were recognized in the EU.

The eGovernment Academy (eGA) is a joint initiative of the Estonian Government, the Open Society Institute and the United Nations Development Programme. He has been working in Ukraine starting with local self-government bodies since 2012 and has been supporting the Ukrainian government since 2014. eGA has implemented 12 projects in the field of e-government in Ukraine, currently its flagship projects are EU4DigitalUA and DT4UA.

The e-Governance Academy rewards the most active business partners who develop digital governance every year.

As reported, the European Commission has published the list of countries included in the TC AdES LOTL list. It contains information about electronic signatures and seals of non-European Union countries, which allows them to be verified in EU countries. Ukraine was the first country to enter this list.
