Samsung has introduced a new version of the proprietary mobile browser. The update includes a significant improvement in privacy and maintains a convenient way to log in to many sites. The program is already available on both Galaxy smartphones and other mobile devices.
Samsung Internet 17 can be downloaded from Google Play or Galaxy Store. One of the main innovations was support for Smart Anti Tracking to protect privacy. It uses machine learning to weed out cookies that track user activity and block malicious ads. This option will be enabled out of the box in the US, Korea and Europe (can be disabled in the settings).
In addition, the browser uses HTTPS by default for browsing the web, and a new privacy panel will appear on the quick access page, displaying all the ways to protect privacy. The application also received support for the Internet Authentication API through third-party accounts (this feature has long been introduced in Google Chrome and Firefox).
Finally, the browser received several interface improvements, including support for tab groups and OCR on images.
