This was stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, based on the results of the annual meeting of the Ukrainian and US delegations on cybersecurity issues in Tallinn on 1 June, Ukrinform reported.

During the dialogue, the US delegation reaffirmed its unwavering determination to support Ukraine’s cyber defense in the face of Russia’s unjust and unwarranted military attack on Ukraine. As part of this support, the agency said the United States is working with Congress to provide an additional $37 million in cyber aid to Ukraine, with that figure rising to $82 million since February 2022 and over $120 million since 2016.

“This support has helped strengthen Ukraine’s ability to detect, contain and respond to cyber incidents and threats, as well as support the protection of critical networks and digital infrastructure,” the State Department said.

It was noted that the parties shared their views on the role of cybersecurity in the long-term development of Ukraine’s digital stability, including the support of the country’s institutions and critical infrastructure facilities. Participants exchanged views on future cooperation between Ukraine and the United States on cyber issues, including sharing valuable lessons learned by Ukraine during the continuous improvement of cyber and digital policy.

As Ukrinform reported, on May 16, Ukraine officially joined the NATO Cooperation Center in the Field of Cyber ​​Defense.
