Iran introduced its first hypersonic ballistic missile of its own production.
This was reported by Reuters, Ukrinform reports.
As the publication indicates, the presentation of the Fattah hypersonic ballistic missile took place on Tuesday.
The ceremony was attended by President Ibrahim Raisi and the senior commander of the elite Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
The announcement could raise concerns about Tehran’s missile capabilities. Hypersonic missiles can fly at least five times faster than the speed of sound and along a complex trajectory, making them difficult to intercept.
As Ukrinform reported, information on Iran’s transfer of missiles, artillery and tank shells to the Russian Federation is currently controlled by Ukrainian intelligence.
