For some users, the update is installed spontaneously, although it should always be optional.
The Moment 3 update for Windows 11 includes some nice new features, but such a major update is still optional and will not be installed automatically. This way, Microsoft gives itself some time to fix any bugs before rolling out the update to everyone.
It now appears that the Moment 3 update will be installed automatically without users asking for it. On the Windows forum, users report that the update started downloading immediately after they clicked Looking for updatesClick the button. Others complain that the update was installed without pressing the button. It’s not clear if IT teams in organizations with an update policy also encounter problems.
WindowsLatest ran the test using a virtual machine and was able to reproduce the issue. When you click the button to check for updates, it will appear immediately and the installation will begin. The Moment 3 update immediately pauses the update and points to the list of optional updates. The update should appear there by default. This may be a bug and a patch from Microsoft will follow soon to fix the problem.
