If you wear glasses and plan to buy an Apple Vision Pro, you’ll have to shell out even more money to use it properly. The company said that the equipment will require ZEISS corrective lenses that are magnetically attached to your device so that you can use all of its features in this case. These lenses will be sold separately and will of course require a doctor’s prescription to ensure they do not pose a risk to your health.
The device allows you to interact with visual elements in a real environment
This requirement may also mean that higher classes won’t support the use of a VR/AR headset, as it states that “not all recipes are supported.” However, at the time of this writing, Apple has not provided any new details on this. Given that the device will only be released in 2024, new information about the “Vision Pro” should appear to the public by the end of this year.
That is, in addition to the headset, which will cost $3,500 (approximately R$17,300 as of June 6, 2023, excluding fees and taxes), glasses users will have to buy an additional product so that they can use all their resources without problems or even restrictions. The added value has not been revealed to the public and is expected to arrive alongside other accessories closer to Apple’s product launch.
This isn’t the only limitation Apple has placed on its VR/AR headset, as the Vision Pro is also only recommended for young people over the age of 13. Given that this is the minimum age to create an Apple ID account, this may not just be a commercial coincidence. Many devices are reserved for logging into an individual account only, such as video games and even accessories, with or without the option to enable profiles. Whether this is so has not been officially confirmed.
Initially, its distribution will be limited to the United States, and then it will be sold worldwide – there is still no confirmation of how long after its arrival we will officially see it in Brazil or Latin America.
