In the United States, Ford is recalling more than 125,000 Escape SUVs, Maverick pickups and Lincoln Corsair luxury SUVs as their engines may leak fluid that could cause a fire.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by CNN.

All recalled vehicles are hybrid or plug-in hybrid versions (can be charged from a regular household outlet or a special charger).

He says that due to a manufacturing issue, 2.5-liter gasoline engines can leak engine oil or gasoline vapors that can ignite when they come into contact with hot parts in the vehicle’s engine compartment.

Since vehicles are hybrids and have electric motors as well as gas engines, someone can continue on the road even after the engine fails, but this will only make the problem worse.

The recall affects 2020 – 2023 Escape models, 2022 – 2023 Maverick models, and 2021 – 2023 Corsair models.

As reported by Ukrinform, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requires recalls of 67 million cars due to problems with airbags.
