Cisco introduces Multicloud Defense. This is a service that helps customers keep environments from different cloud providers secure from one dashboard.

At Cisco Live, Cisco is introducing a new multicloud management and security service: Cisco Multicloud Defense. Multicloud Defense helps enterprise security teams secure complex cloud infrastructures from a single dashboard. The solution combines layer 7 protection, web application firewall and data loss prevention in one place.

The solution is based on technology from the start-up Valtix, which Cisco was able to integrate in February. This technology uses gateways located throughout customer environments. Through these gateways, it is possible to establish clear policies, detect threats and prevent data exfiltration. Lateral movements by hackers who have nevertheless found a weak point somewhere to penetrate are prevented.

Multicloud Defense is a SaaS solution compatible with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Services and Oracle Cloud cloud environments. On the dashboard, users can see important data at a glance, such as possible vulnerabilities in the various cloud environments. Cisco Multicloud Defense is available now.
