Peruvian President Dina Boluarte did not answer any of the questions of the prosecutors or the lawyers of the victims anti-government protests during his speech on Tuesday before the prosecutor’s office, according to reports this Wednesday in the local press.

Boluarte traveled to the prosecutor’s office in Lima to testify in the investigation against him and Prime Minister Alberto Otarola in a murder case committed by death of fifty people during protests earlier in the yearexploded after the arrest and detention of former President Pedro Castillo.

Despite the fact that in previous days the President’s defense had stated that they would not use their right not to testify, during their speech they recanted and he chose not to answer questions from the prosecutionaccording to the victims’ lawyer Carlos Rivera on his Twitter account.

Rivera said the questions Boluarte agreed to answer were “very little”, “absolutely general” and “easy to answer”at the same time, “there were no questions from the prosecutor’s office” and “I did not accept questions from the victims.”
