“Institutionally, we are becoming more open not only to OVT developers, but also to enterprises, specialists and investors who want to cooperate with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The Minister noted that the Accelerator has its own web platform, an information resource that supports its activities. “The team has actually been working for a while, showed a good result, and we have designated this activity as a legal normative. Together with the Ukrainian manufacturers, we are repelling the Russian aggression today and establishing the Ukrainian army,” he stressed, emphasizing the “model” of tomorrow.
According to Reznikov, organizationally, the accelerator of the Ministry of Defense is modern management methods and IT solutions. Technical innovation will speed up developers’ work in processing their applications, their evaluation and further progress towards operational acceptance.
“The decision-making process, especially regarding the commissioning of a new model, will take no more than 45 days. Previously, this period could be up to 2 years. During this month and a half, the project documents and technical documents are checked and the results of preliminary tests and inspections are evaluated. According to the Ministry of Defense, the composition of the advisory body consists of 13 people. The delegation will be headed by Deputy Defense Minister Volodymyr Gavrylov. The work will be coordinated by Serhii Loboyko, state expert of the Department of Digitalization, Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Cyber Security in the Defense Sector of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
At the same time, it was noted that the Innovative Development Accelerator of the Ministry of Defense has already invited the cooperation of OVT developers with samples of a high level of technological readiness.
The most relevant for the Armed Forces today are especially unmanned systems, communication systems, intelligence and analytics of collected data. In addition, technical innovations are required to modernize and improve the efficiency of ammunition and OVT samples according to the new principles of action.
