Just a few days ago, Amazon announced that new echo devices They were already on sale in Spain. At MuyComputer we tested Amazon Echo Pop, the company’s most compact smart speaker and we’ll tell you about its main features.

First of all, the new Echo Pop is attracting attention because it’s coming completely renewed design and some very current colors like lavender and teal. Unlike the previous round models, these have shapes hemispherewhich reduces its size but not its performance.

Another novelty is that the speaker is placed in the front part, in the shape of a semicircle and with lossless sound in high resolution. Dimensions are only Dimensions 99 x 83 x 91 mm, so you can place it even in small rooms without it standing out too much. The sound from the speaker is only 49.5 mm.

Echo Pop includes a smaller light bar at the top of the device, so you can easily see when you have a notification or when Alexa is ready to help you. This is another major change from previous models, which had an LED light surrounding the entire speaker.

Amazon is also joining the fray sustainability in facilities and made Echo Pop from 100% recycled yarn based on wood fibers from responsibly managed forests. The aluminum part of the speaker also has an 80% renewable composition.

How to use the Echo Pop if it’s your first time

Echo Pop has been designed to be very easy to set up and use. Here we explain step by step how it works:

1. Connect your device to power.
2. open up the Alexa app on your mobile and select “Add Device” under “More” and then “Echo Pop
3. From there, follow along instruction to complete its configuration.
4. Once you do this, you will receive a notification update which will take about 15 minutes so you can make sure you have the latest version of the software.
5. Thanks to the multi-room music functionyou can fill your entire house with music using multiple Echo Pops or other compatible Echo devices placed in different rooms.
6. If you have other smart devices like light bulbs, you can create your own digital home with your voice: turn on the lamp before you get out of bed, dim the sofa lights to watch a movie, start a routine or adjust the thermostat on the way out the door. Echo Pop is also compatible with Matter, making it easy to connect and control compatible smart home devices from different brands.
