According to IT Home, Apple may also develop 3D video content specifically for the Vision Pro. One of the rumored projects is a new movie called Monarch: Legacy of the Monsters. This indicates that Apple is exploring creating original content tailored to its headset.

Screentimes’ Sigmund Judge shared the behind-the-scenes information and revealed that Monarch: Legacy of the Monsters will be filmed in Apple’s spatial video format introduced at WWDC. This format allows transmission and playback of stereoscopic 3D video specially designed for headphones and other compatible devices.

Monarch: Legacy of the Monsters is a live-action TV series commissioned by Apple in January 2022, set in a world inhabited by Godzilla, King Kong, and the Titans and revolving around an organization called the Monarchs. The series, a spin-off of Legendary Pictures’ MonsterVerse franchise, is expected to coincide with the release of the Vision Pro title.

While it’s not yet known on which platform the series will air specifically, it will likely be available on Apple TV, Apple’s own streaming service. However, given that Apple’s format also supports 2D viewing, it’s possible that the show will be available via standard streaming methods as well as set up for playback on the Vision Pro.
