The leak ensures that AMD is preparing the launch Ryzen 5 5600X3Da very interesting processor that could give new life to the AM4 socket and that could become one of the best on the market in terms of price-performance if everything we tell you below is fulfilled.
The Ryzen 5 5600X3D will be a configuration version of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 6 cores and 12 threads, meaning it will have two cores and four threads less than the other, and it will also have 1MB less L2 cache (3MB vs. 4MB on the Ryzen 7 5800X3D). These changes won’t be a problem, as the bottom line is that the Ryzen 5 5600X3D comes with 64MB of 3D stacked L3 cache, meaning it adds a total of 96 MB of L3 cache.
The large amount of L3 cache allows it to offer high performance in gamesand thanks to the number of 6 cores and 12 threads, it meets the recommended level for moving current titles in a completely optimal way. I remind you that the minimum level has now been set at 4 cores and 8 threads.
As is the case with all AMD processors that come with 3D stacked cache, their operating frequency will not be very high to avoid skyrocketing operating temperatures. This model will work 3.3 GHz to 4.4 GHzi.e. 100 MHz less than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

Ryzen 5 5600X3D gaming performance should be average almost on par with the Ryzen 5 7600X. This would be very positive, because we are talking about a processor that we could install without any problems with a very cheap motherboard and DDR4 memory, while the Ryzen 5 7600X would have to be accompanied by a more expensive motherboard and DDR5 memory.
On the other hand, this Ryzen 5 5600X3D could also be a very attractive choice for those users who want to upgrade a PC with an AM4 socket and whose main purpose is to play. We still don’t have a specific launch date, and even the possible price of this processor has not been disclosed, but taking into account that the Ryzen 7 5800X3D costs 327 euros, it will be most reasonable to place it in the range of 200-250 euros.
Ryzen 5 5600X3D will be based on Zen 3which means that it will be manufactured in a 7nm node and that it will have an IPC typical of the Ryzen 5000 series, although it will offer top performance in games thanks to a larger amount of L3 cache.
