Mentioning the words “game” and “free” in the same sentence is something that is not usually frowned upon in the video game industry. However, Capcom seems to have decided to make an exception.. An exception that will be welcomed with open arms especially by the biggest nostalgics and which, we hope, will keep its doors open for a long time, although it is true that its existence is due to the fact that these days the legendary Japanese studio is celebrating its forties.

On the occasion of this celebration the company created Capcom Town, an online villa in which he opens the door to his history and plays some of his great classics. So if you enter this digital museum, you will find spaces dedicated to Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Mega Man, Devil May Cry and more. In each of them you will find a selection of images, videos, sounds and in some cases even original documents from their design stages.

In the upper part of the museum room, you will also find the History section, in which, as you can already deduce from the name, you will find an interesting overview of four decades by Capcom. The Anniversary Artwork shows us an image (yes, unfortunately only one, maybe they should stretch a bit more at this point), featuring some of the most notable characters from the company’s games. And if you go to the Exhibits section, you’ll find plenty of documentation about the recently released Street Fighter 6.

After seeing the museum, it’s time to leave it and find Capcom Town, the digital village in which the museum is located, but also other areas that we recommend you explore. And yes, among them are Retro Games, a space in which, as we told you at the beginning, you’ll find five great Capcom classics that you can play online. Specifically, these are the English and Japanese versions of the following titles:

• Mega Man
• mega man 2
• Mega Man X
• Street Fighter II

Of the five additional titles as well you will be able to see the original manual as well as a picture of the cartridge NES or SNES, corresponding to the platform for which each title was released.
