If we look back and remember the CES 2023 held at the beginning of the year, without a doubt The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is part of the list of featured products that stood out the most. As we already told you at the time, the Korean manufacturer raised the level of its Odyssey family again, from which it also showed us the magnificent Odyssey Neo G9 in the version for 2023. With both screens, Samsung showed us its top-of-the-line designs for the most demanding gamers.
More specifically, this Odyssey OLED G9 took over from the Odyssey OLED G8introduced just a few months earlier at IFA 2022 in September, which made it clear to us that Samsung attaches considerable importance to this product line, and that we can therefore expect the annual refresh rate to remain, which is something that consumers are for us especially good when our budget is not particularly high, because thanks to this renewal it is possible to find some of the most interesting offers.
Be that as it may, the launch of the Odyssey OLED G9 left us wondering when it would be unveiled, which we’ve been waiting for ever since. And the good news for those who have been waiting is that Samsung has already confirmed the global launch of the Odyssey OLED G9. According to the tech, this monitor is now available on its website for anyone who chooses to get it. However, we hope it will be completed in the next few hours, as the monitor is not yet available on the Spanish website at the time of publication.
We remember that the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is a curved monitor (1800R) built on an OLED panel, with a size of 49 inches and a Quad High Definition resolution (DQHD, 5120 x 1440 pixels in 32:9 aspect ratio). This ultra-panoramic format offers us an experience similar to working with two QHD screens side by side. It offers a refresh rate of 240 Hz, a response time of just 0.03 milliseconds (GtG) and is compatible with DisplayHDR True Black 400 to ensure excellent color reproduction.
The characteristic element of this screen is integrated Neo Quantum Processor Pro, the main innovation of which is that it is based on an artificial intelligence algorithm with machine learning, which aims to increase the scale, adjust the brightness and strengthen the contrast, which will give players a much more impressive visual experience. This is complemented by CoreSync and Core Lighting+ technologies to provide an even more immersive experience.
