As a general rule when talking about Google One The first thing that comes to mind for many people is the storage service online from Google. But the truth is that the search engine company offers a lot more to users who opt for one of the payment plans. In this way, this subscription model attracts more and more users, not only because of the storage and its options, but also because of the other features and services that are included.

The most recent example of this can be found in the VPN service that is part of Google One, which after several years since its launch less than two months ago, has finally reached all subscribers. including those with the most economical level of service, i.e. the one for 1.99 euros per month. And it is because previously it was only available for plans from two terabytes and more.

This is common when deploying Google One features these tend to arrive first on mobile devices to jump to the desktop after a while, either through a specific application or through its web interface, accessible through a desktop browser. This is consistent with the model mobile-first who has been running the search engine company in many of its products and services for many years.

So again, we’re getting a jump in that sense, and it’s one that will be extremely well-appreciated by many of its users. And it is as the company communicated from the tweet, some of the exclusive Google One photo editing features will also be available in the web version of Google Photos. Specifically, users will be able to use the following features:

  • portrait light: Change the position and intensity of the light source in photos with people.
  • portrait blur: Blurs the background to highlight the protagonist of the portrait.
  • Color Pop: desaturates the background and preserves the foreground color for people photos.
  • HDR: Increases brightness and contrast throughout the image.
  • My sweatheart: Allows you to choose from several predefined palettes to modify the appearance of the sky.

So it doesn’t look like the Magic Eraser or the latest Magic Editor will make it to the Google Photos web interface in this first deployment. Except, This seems to happen graduallyand it is that although they said that it is now available to all users, they did not get access to these new Google Photos tools.

However, we can expect this deployment to be completed in a reasonable amount of time, plus this it opens the door for more features to come. At the moment, to use the ones announced today, the only requirements are to have four gigabytes of RAM and an updated browser.
