Netflix’s Marvel series already has a date to come to Disney +

It’s been more than two years since Netflix ended a series of Marvel characters he had been developing, some quite successfully: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, luke klec, iron fist, Punitive… A “cutrocosoover” of it Defenders, let ‘s not forget. Why he made it clear: Disney jumped on the VOD train with Disney + and the rights to the characters expired.

However, it took a year for Marvel Studios, and therefore Disney, to recover their characters, raising doubts about what would happen to them: would you take them back the way they are? Would they let them be forgotten as they elevate and exploit others? If they restored them, would it be based on those already created by Netflix, or would the formula be completely restored, given the more mature tone compared to the garbage for all the viewers they usually do in Dianey / Marvel?

The doubts were legitimatebecause despite the many shortcomings of the Marvel series produced by Netflix, there were several conditioning factors: the tone mentioned, the cast that suited the shell in terms of lead actor, good critical reception and the public, at least initially … And some very different characters, better known to the general public , like Daredevil or The Punisher, on the contrary, see Jessica Jones or Luke Cage … or to a lesser extent, a bad copy of Batman and Green Arrow, who is Iron Fist.

The Punisher the Netflix Marvel

At that time, all kinds of rumors spread, including some that turned out to be true and others of an unexpected nature. For example… (beware, mild spoilers if you saw the Marvel series on Netflix, but not the latest from Marvel Studios for cinemas and Disney +)… the appearance of Daredevil Charlie Cox in Spider-Man: No Way Homeor Vincent D’Onofria from the series Hawk Eye.

These two examples mean nothing with regard to the reintegration of the characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM), which is, after all, a pillar of the whole superhero production of the house, whether for cinema or in the form of a series. as video on demand. However, it was confirmation, if you want, show respect for previous work. The work, which, as I say, has its flies, but also successes, including a selection of these actors.

The point is that since he learned that Netflix had finished producing the Marvel series until he learned that Marvel was restoring the rights to its characters, it was announced that Netflix was downloading the above series from its catalogs – which happened on at the beginning of this year, in mid-February – all that remained was to know when Disney + would add these series to its catalog, and there is already an answer. Will be next June 29 when all the Marvel series produced by Netflix will definitely land at Disney.

Which begs the question: Will Disney respect this grown-up tone? more or less explicit violence and even with sex scenes one of those where the average company manager would blush? Here I would venture to say yes, if you are not willing to be persecuted by the criticism of the angry masses. They will also restrict access to these productions by age, so they do not seem likely to join the UCM section (although there have been subtle references to it).

The million-dollar question, however, is whether they will continue to have not only the actors who revived the characters, but whether they will expand that part of the Marvel Universe – it continues to be – the same series, the same tone, etc. They all suffered from excessive padding, but with a good background; and I’m sure there are a lot of Marvel superhero fans who would love to see it. Another thing is that Disney / Marvel dares to do it, which doesn’t seem so likely either.
