The vast majority of all GPS navigation apps let you know the location of fixed speed cameras on the road or stoppages. Personally, I agree that Google Maps is my favourite, with all its features. However, it has emerged recently ‘SocialDrive’ for his expertise.
This app, which is not new at all, has a permissive community behind it. get good information on the condition of the roads in real time. And this, however short and routine it may seem, is vital before any trip.
Accurate information from real, live people: The best of ‘SocialDrive’
First of all is to tell you this especially if you have never used ‘SocialDrive’. how the app is organized, so it can also be used to know its functions. First of all, it will ask us for permission to access our location, which is not mandatory, although it is highly recommended to inquire about our area.
In the main tab we find two types of views: list and map, both equally useful. In the list we can find textual information updated in real time with all kinds of alerts: radars, accidents, studies, police checks, detentions and more.
The same thing on the map is being able to see exactly where they are, albeit in a much more visual way. Each item is distinguished by an icon This seems very intuitive at first, but eventually we all understand it at a glance.
We can find it by clicking on the notifications in the list or on the map interface more information about that notice. For example, we can add who posted it, when it was produced, and even add comments and verify (or not confirm) the statement if we find it to be false.
And as we have already progressed in the beginning, The key to this app is user engagement.. It’s not for nothing that it has ‘Social’ in its name. Thus, we can find a ‘Submit’ button that will ensure that we are always the one reporting an incident. we can text or voicedepending on what’s most comfortable (if we’re driving it’s okay to do it aloud or ask the co-driver).
Among the information we can add, we find the same thing that we can see in the application: presence of mobile radar, alerts, controls and helicopters. It is very important to have the location here, because in this way the application automatically finds the point where we are and where the event occurred.
It should be said that ‘SocialDrive’ also offers. a subscription with improvements such as the elimination of the ad or the possibility of receiving notifications on the mobile phone with the entire warning text and uncut. But the free one is enough in my case, there are three subscription models if anyone thinks they might be interested: 0.99 euros per month, 4.99 euros for six months or 8.99 euros per year, respectively cheaper proportionally.
