SMS is one of the most common ways scams reach. In this case, the fraud is carried out through a job offer. They promise the opportunity to earn between 20 and 150 euros in a part-time or full-time job.

Job offer by SMS: new scam

Civil Guard warned via Twitter account that the purpose of these messages is nothing more than to obtain personal information and thus engage in fraudulent or criminal activities.

The message also insists that we contact via WhatsApp via a phone number found in the SMS itself. It should also be noted that the sender of such SMS comes from an even rarer e-mail address.

If you receive such messages, We recommend that you delete it immediately and block the sender.. Once we get it, we are likely to get it again in the future because it means our phone will show up in a stolen or purchased database so they will continue to harass us with it.

If we want to go further, we can too Report through the Spanish Data Protection Agency. Even go to Police cybercrime so they can start (or complete) an investigation.

While there are already some messages in Google Messages and others spam filters, scammers usually know how to avoid them and that means we continue to receive such messages, which unfortunately often correspond to scams. In this case, as we said, It was even condemned by the Civil Guard itself.
