The Times of Israel reports this, as reported by Ukrinform.

According to the company’s statement, the Sky Sonic interceptor missile, which has been under development for nearly three years, will be shown at the Paris Air Show next week.

Rafael officials said the company had recently received approval from the Ministry of Defense to demonstrate the system.

The company said the Sky Sonic missile “represents a major technological leap forward in hypersonic missile defense”.

While the company could not name when the rocket will be ready for use, it reported that the first test flights will take place in the near future.

Rafael is considered one of Israel’s largest military contractors and helps develop some of the country’s leading weapons systems, including the Iron Dome short-range air defense system and the Spike precision-guided missile.

The company is also currently developing the powerful Iron Beam laser interceptor system, which it has dubbed a potential “out-of-the-box” in the fight against missile attacks.

As reported by Ukrinform, the newest ballistic missile “Khorremshehr-4” or “Kheybar” was presented at an official ceremony in Iran.
