Apple Vision Pro presentation video made by Apple last week hit an impressive 50 million views in less than 10 days of posting. A large amount of visualization on the Cupertino company’s mixed reality device shows the product’s potential among consumers.

In addition to the high number of views, the video has also managed to garner a large number of likes, up to 396k in total since its first release on YouTube. However, comments on the video are disabled, and it is impossible to know exactly what impression it made on the public.

Despite the fact that the video has received a large number of views, not all of them came organically. At least that’s what the Twitter user known as concept_central points out. He said the video The Apple Vision Pro was part of an Apple promotional campaign.significantly increasing the number of views.

Another Twitter user known as David Lynch also noted that Apple’s promotional video appeared as recommended several times. This would confirm the fact that Apple is advertising the product.

Sales should pick up after the first year of launch

Regardless of the source of the 50 million video views, anyone who watched Apple’s presentation and really wanted to get the product will have to wait a bit. That’s because it’s not due until 2024 and it will take some more time before it’s available in retail stores around the world.

Currently, Sony, which is the in-house supplier of microLED panels for the Vision Pro, can only ship 900,000 units or 450,000 display pairs to its customers annually. Of these units, the company’s previous estimates were just 150,000 units in the coming year.

If consumers decide to buy the Apple Vision Pro in bulk, the Cupertino company may not be able to handle mass production. In the first year, that number will be even lower precisely because of Sony’s ability to provide microLED panels to Apple.

The Apple Vision Pro has a 90Hz refresh rate most of the time.
The device will also support 3D and HEVC content.
