In previous build 23481 of the Windows 11 operating system, Microsoft Corporation added a new feature – an on-screen touchpad for entering handwritten text in all editable fields. This was reported on the techno giant’s official blog.

For now, the opportunity is stated to be open to Windows Insider program members who sign up to receive previous versions of the operating system.

Initially, handwriting conversion only worked in certain apps like OneNote. Also, it was often necessary to add a separate custom window for handwriting recognition.

With the new feature, users will be able to leave handwritten notes in any input-enabled field. Microsoft assured that the developers are also improving the handwriting recognition technology.

At the same time, you do not need to go to settings to activate and edit what is written on the touchpad, just configure these commands with your fingers on the screen for certain gestures.

Also, in the new version of Windows 11, the “Focus” widget has appeared, where users can configure and add time intervals to help them stay focused on a task.
