With the ThinkSmart View Plus, Lenovo is introducing a special meeting screen tailored to Microsoft Teams, which can also serve as a normal USB Type-C monitor.

Lenovo introduces the ThinkSmart View Plus. This is an Android-based Full HD meeting screen running Microsoft Teams. The 27-inch screen has touch functionality and has integrated audio and video capabilities. Lenovo equips the screen with a 4K IRGB camera with autoframing. The device is powered by a Qualcomm QCS8250 and supports WiFi 6. A five-watt speaker is built-in.

Teams chat, calendar and files are available right on the display. In meeting mode, the thing is still compatible with a (passive) pen and supports the Microsoft Whiteboard application. Anyone who logs on to the display is immediately in their trusted Teams environment. When you log out, all files safely disappear.

Users don’t need an additional device to join a meeting with the new monitor, but the device has a USB Type-C port. You can connect a laptop to it, after which the ThinkSmart View Plus will take on the role of a regular monitor. HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-A are also present, as is a 3.5mm port.

With the device, Lenovo is aiming for flexible workplaces in a hybrid work context. Employees can quickly and easily take a seat behind the screen, be it for short meetings or for classic work.

Lenovo first announced the ThinkSmart View Plus in February without disclosing pricing or availability. The manufacturer has now announced that the device will be available in stores from next month at a recommended retail price of 2,899 euros (incl. VAT).
