How to delete or disable your search history on Amazon

If you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber, it’s very likely that you make frequent purchases on the site because you’re likely to share an account with someone for convenience and not have to pay twice or thrice for purchases or use services like Prime Video. Of course, privacy is an issue.

For example, say you want to give a gift to someone you share an Amazon account with: once you’ve ordered, no problem… unless someone comes to check things out beforehand and the first thing they see is these suggestions from “pick up where you left off“be”continue shopping» that appear in the foreground on a website or app. In that case, there is little to hide.

It’s true that the possible situations are many and varied, but we’ll simplify it with the previous example – you don’t even have to buy anything on Amazon, you can simply search for ideas – so that you don’t delay and go straight to the point, which is how to delete or disable amazon search history to prevent unwanted looting.

There is an easy way to do one or the other, and to do so, just go to the Search History page, view the “history management” and choose whether to “turn on/off browsing history”, something you can do temporarily so that nothing is recorded”, or choose the final solution: “remove all items from view”.

Remember, of course, that once an order is placed, the purchase will appear on other pages within Amazon, but you get rid of anything that pops up as soon as you enter Amazon and not only in designated blocks, also in “offers inspired by your recent history”, “other products to consider”, “related to articles you have seen”, “customers who have seen products that appear in your browsing history also see » etc.

Also, don’t forget that you can subscribe to Amazon Prime for free for a month.
