The new ultralight Zenbooks S 13 are one of the main models in an important catalog update introduced by ASUS a few hours ago. These ultralights bet on OLED screens, portable and convertible formats, processing options with AMD and Intel hardware, and the usual build quality of the series, which we could enjoy in various reviews.
ASUS ZenBook S13
The portable model strengthens and 13.3-inch OLED display with a native resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels to connect. You can equip the touch panel with a brightness of 550 nits and a non-touch panel that reaches a brightness of 600 nits. With a minimum frame size and 16:10 aspect ratio, it boasts a response time of just 0.2 ms and supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
ASUS relies on AMD Ryzen mobile processors for its internal hardware, with the option to install Ryzen 7-6800U or Ryzen 5-6600U. It is complemented by 8 or 16 GB LPDDR5 memory and 512 GB or 1 Tbyte PCIe Gen4 SSD disks for internal storage.

Its keyboard is backlit with a key size of 1.4 mm and can be mounted on the Asus NumberPad, which allows you to use the trackpad as a numeric keypad. It pre-installs Windows 11 Pro and will be available in four colors. We do not know the availability or price, but as you can see in the pictures that ultralight looks great.
ASUS Zenbook S 13 Flip
The convertible version of the series retains most of the notebook’s specifications. It uses the same OLED panel, and multi-touch with 13.3 inches diagonally. Its maximum brightness is 550 nits and the aspect ratio is 16:10. Its response time is 0.2 ms, supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and is compatible with light lips.
As a good convertible, it has a hinge that allows the screen to rotate up to 360 degrees, allowing several uses in addition to that typical of a laptop, tablet or presentation tent.
Its hardware base is different. ASUS relies on twelfth-generation processors here Alder Lake from Intelwith the option of installing Core i7-1260p or Core i5-1240P. It has 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory and 512 GB or 1 Tbyte of PCIe Gen4 SSD disks for internal storage.
In addition to Wi-Fi 6 and Buetooth 5.2, this convertible device adds above the AMD model three Thunderbolt 4.0 ports. Its webcam has a 1080p resolution and an infrared sensor for security tasks with Windows Hello. The battery has a capacity of 67 Wh.
It is also built with an aluminum and magnesium chassis for 1.1 kg, which is a record for a convertible of this screen size and also certified to MIL-STD 810H. It pre-installs Windows 11 Home and as a portable model will be the benchmark in convertible devices.
