The UK will allocate £16m (about $20m) to help Ukraine strengthen cyber defence.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Sky News with reference to the statement of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
“Russia’s horrific attacks on Ukraine are not limited to the barbaric occupation of the country’s territory, but also include attempts to attack the cyber infrastructure that provides vital services to the Ukrainian people, from banking to energy,” Sunak said.
He stressed that this package of financial aid is crucial to stop Russian cyberattacks, strengthen Ukraine’s cyber defense and increase its ability to detect and neutralize malware.
It was noted at the conference next week that Sunak will call on entrepreneurs and businesses to increase their investments in Ukraine to help Ukraine rebuild its economy after the Russian invasion.
As reported by Ukrinform, the UK will send an additional 60 million pounds ($77 million) to the NATO support fund for Ukraine.
