Intel wants to build a $4.6 billion factory in Poland. Negotiations for the German location would also start again. Meanwhile, Israel is getting $25 billion in investment from the chip giant.

Intel will establish a microchip assembly and testing facility in Poland. The chip manufacturer wants to invest 4.6 billion dollars for this. The factory will not make microchips, but will play a supporting role. Wafers from production lines have to be broken down into individual chips, then tested and finally packaged. According to Intel, the site should be ready in 2027 and create 2,000 full-time jobs.

Magdeburg

Intel had already indicated in 2021 that it wanted to invest more in Europe. The original plans have since been updated somewhat. The showpiece of the planned investment round is a factory for advanced microchips in Magdeburg. However, Intel does not want to pay the full amount and is hoping for significant subsidies. 6.8 billion euros from the German state do not seem to be enough for the time being. The talks about Intel Magdeburg would now run again.

Everything seems to be going smoothly in Israel. There Intel announced investments of 25 billion US dollars for production sites. Intel already has a very strong presence in Israel
