Oracle’s EU Sovereign Cloud is compliant with European regulations and resides entirely within the EU.

Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud is entirely located in the EU, supported by EU-based employees and managed by separate EU-based legal entities. As part of OCI’s distributed cloud strategy, Oracle’s Sovereign Cloud offers companies a new option to meet European requirements.

Customers with data and applications that are sensitive, regulated or of strategic regional importance, or whose workloads are subject to European data protection and sovereignty directives such as GDPR can now move to the cloud. Oracle hopes the European offering will appeal to critical industries such as healthcare, financial services, telecoms and the public sector.

Oracle’s EU Sovereign Cloud is available to customers in all 27 EU member states and beyond. It offers more than 100 cloud services, also available in Oracle’s public cloud, at no additional cost and with the same service level agreements in terms of performance, management and availability.

The European data centers are located in Frankfurt, Germany and in Madrid, Spain. Digital Realty is the host partner for the EU Sovereign Cloud regional location in Madrid, and Equinix is the host partner for the regional location in Frankfurt.
