By adding the FortiGate series of firewalls to the FortiFlex line, organizations can purchase even more flexible services.

The FortiFlex offering now includes AI services licensing options and technical support for these models in the FortiGate family:

  • FortiGate 40F
  • FortiGate 60E/F Series
  • FortiGate 70F
  • FortiGate 80F
  • FortiGate 100E/F Series
  • FortiGate 200 E/F Series
  • FortiGate 400F
  • FortiGate 600F

FortiFlex offers usage-based licensing for a broad range of Fortinet security solutions for cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environments. The program uses a points system that makes it easy for businesses to gain insight into their account balance, usage patterns and total spend. They are billed every 24 hours so that their IT department can adapt the use of the solutions on a daily basis.

Businesses can commit points to use any combination of virtualized, cloud, and on-premises security services. Additionally, they can allocate a portion of the budget they allocate to a select number of cloud providers. While Google Cloud was initially an option, Fortinet is now also adding AWS to the FortiFlex program.

You can find it as a proprietary solution on the AWS Marketplace to support organizations using the AWS Enterprise Discount Program (EDP). High-volume AWS account holders are eligible for a rebate once they exceed a minimum spending threshold.
