Yes, industry reports claim that the Korean company has successfully completed development of the new 200 MP image sensor ISOCELL HP3. And one of the first smartphones to get it has to be the Galaxy S23.
Note that this sensor is not the first to have 200 MP. The company previously introduced the ISOCELL HP1 with a pixel size of 0.64 microns. The module also boasted 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K video recording at 120fps.
Recall that the traditional release of new smartphones in the Galaxy S series takes place in February-March. The Galaxy S23 is unlikely to be an exception to this rule.
