Technology company Avaya unveiled new cloud capabilities at its own Engage conference.
American technology company Avaya presented several new cloud functions at Engage 2023 in Orlando. Avaya has made efforts to improve its cloud services in the past.
New features and an upgrade in professional services have been proposed for Avaya’s communications applications.
Enterprise Cloud launched just over a month ago and is already receiving updates. The system hosts many employee communication tools and contact center applications. Avaya announced that Enterprise Cloud can now be expanded into a single-tenant cloud environment on Microsoft Azure.
Updates are also available for Experience Platform, a collection of features in the cloud primarily intended for contact centers and customer support. The Experience Platform Connect tool has now been added for this purpose. It enables organizations to extend their existing Avaya software they have on-premises with cloud-based Experience Platform capabilities.
There are also upgrades for Call Center Elite, an application that primarily supports an organization’s helpdesk (by creating tickets, among other things). For example, this tool now includes an AI feature designed to filter out background noise. Additionally, there is now support for WebRTC, an open-source technology that enables browser-based conference calls. In addition, the Call Center Elite user interface can now be personalized and display information relevant to the work of each helpdesk agent.
These updates coincide with a company rebrand. Avaya Professional Services is now Avaya Customer Experience Services. The question is whether this name change is also related to the bankruptcy that Avaya filed in the US a few months ago.
