Apple’s bitten apple is one of the most famous logos in the world. However, Apple often caters to companies whose logos at least remotely resemble an apple. According to recent reports, Apple has filed a lawsuit against Fruit Union Suisse, a 111-year-old farming organization that used a logo depicting a red apple with a white Swiss cross on it.

The organization’s director, Jimmy Marietos, said they were stunned by the company’s approach.

This isn’t the first time Apple has sued companies over their logo. In 2010, Apple struck a deal with a small Swiss grocery cooperative that said it would never add a bite mark to the bright red apple logo.

In 2020, Apple sued Prepear, a food preparation startup that uses a pear logo. Apple claimed that Prepear’s pear-shaped logo resembles the iPhone maker’s logo. As a result, the enterprise had to slightly change the logo.
