Caixa withdrew the measure in a statement

The Caixa statement notes that the Pix collection by companies is already being carried out by other financial institutions and has been authorized by the Central Bank since November 2020, when the transfer and instant payments system was launched.

“There are no fees for Pix for individual clients, individual microentrepreneurs (MEEs), and beneficiaries of social programs.“, the bank said in a statement.

Chamber of Civil Minister Rui Costa confirmed that President Lula had asked Caixa to suspend Pix collection for legal entities until their return from Europe, scheduled for next week.
