At least 31 people died in the explosion produced gas leak in a restaurant in Yinchuan, the capital of northwest China’s Ningxia Autonomous Region, the state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
The agency said the explosion occurred around 20:40 (1240 GMT) on Wednesday on a busy street in Xinqing District, Yinchuan City, due to a gas leak at a barbecue restaurant.
In addition to the 31 dead, Another seven people were injured and are being treated at a local hospital.
