Google is expanding Duet AI to Sheets, part of Google Workspace, after previously introducing it to Docs and Slides. The Help Me Organize feature is designed to make complex tracking and organization tasks easier for users.

Users can now describe what they want to achieve, and Sheets will create custom templates to help them get started. The functionality will be available through the sidebar located in Sheets. Users can enter queries such as “schedule a one-day sales launch event with a description of the session and status.”

They will then have the option to insert and customize the table to suit their needs. In addition, Google has introduced the “Help Me Write” feature in both Gmail and Docs. Gmail iOS and Android users can access the “Help Me Write” feature by tapping the compose button located in the bottom right corner of the screen.

When entering requests such as “Thank you letter for my interview” or “Job application”, the AI ​​will create a draft email that users can edit or review before sending.

For now, the use of AI can be done through Workspace Labs.

To take advantage of Google Duet’s new AI features, Google Workspace users must apply to join the Workspace Labs wishlist. Google also plans to implement administrative controls to help IT administrators set and manage policies across their organizations.

The launch of Google Duet AI comes just days after the launch of the Microsoft 365 Copilot Early Access program. The Microsoft 365 Copilot app allows users to create and summarize data from spreadsheets and documents.
