The US Patent and Trademark Office has granted Apple a patent on virtual paper for augmented and virtual reality. Apparently, it completely imitates the standard (it can bend, fold, roll, change, etc.), while preserving the content displayed on it (two-dimensional, three-dimensional or animated), taking into account all the deformations of virtual paper. This was reported by Patently Apple.

An image shows that the back of the paper is (or may be) blurred. Patently reports that virtual paper may have been invented for apps like Apple Maps, the Apple Music streaming service, and other travel-related utilities, books, magazines, and the like. It is assumed that you can interact with the virtual paper with gestures.
