Camps for mercenaries of the Wagner group began to be built in the Belarusian Mogilov region, about 200 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, according to the investigative portal Layout.
According to the sources of this media, there will be several camps, one of which is near the town of Osipovichi.
The camp will cover 24,000 square meters and facilities for 8,000 beds will be built.
A source close to the leadership of the region confirmed to Nestka that the authorities had received an order to set up a camp for mercenaries.
Wagner group mercenaries, along with their boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, staged a 24-hour armed mutiny over the weekend, during which they captured the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don and advanced 200 kilometers closer to Moscow.
Thanks to an agreement reached with the assistance of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the rebellion was stopped.
The pact, according to the Kremlin, establishes that Prigozhin is sent into exile in Belarus in exchange for not being prosecuted for organizing an armed rebellion, and his people will also not be subject to criminal punishment.
Those mercenaries who did not take a direct part in the rebellion will be able to sign contracts with the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to Vertka, the information that the mercenaries will be sent to Belarus was also confirmed by the relatives of the Wagner group members.
