The famous company Wargaming is developing a new episode of the cult game World of Tanks. World of Tanks 2.0 has been in development for some time under the codename Project CW, according to WOT Express source.

As a result, it will not be another update to the original project, but a new standalone game. In particular, players will be given completely different tanks. The current equipment list will include combat vehicles from the Cold War era as well as later models. Especially the 1975 T-62, Leopard 1A6 Jager and M60 IF are worth waiting for.

Gameplay will also undergo changes. The main mode will not be to simply destroy all enemies, but to capture and hold areas on the map. The source says the developers were inspired by the Battlefield series.

It is also reported that players will have a wide variety of customization options for tanks, and their vehicle models will be distinguished by the fact that various elements will drop from them when damaged. The source adds that the game was developed primarily with the US and European markets in mind. There’s no firm release date yet, but the game won’t be out before the fall of next year.
