Would you like to learn everything about the metaverse in six days? Beginning in February 2024, Howest and Vlerick Business School is offering a new training program to keep business professionals up to date on the metaverse.

The metaverse is likely to become increasingly popular in the business world in the coming years. To help companies prepare for this, Howest, in partnership with Vlerick Business School, announces the Metaverse for Business program. In this six-day course, business people can experience for themselves what the metaverse can mean for their company.

balance

The training will take place at the Howest site for three days and at the Vlerick Business School in Brussels for three days. The curriculum will have a nice mix of technology and management. It is therefore certainly not the intention to immerse participants in technology jargon. Through practical exercises, the participants learn how a metaverse works, but above all how they can use it practically in their organization.

This balance between technology and management is important, says Prof. Kurt Callewaert (Howest): “We really want to help companies and organizations on their way to innovate processes and create value based on a combination of new digital technologies.”

“Organizations that create value in the metaverse often form strategic partnerships where the collaboration is greater than the sum of its parts. That is exactly the case with our partnership with Howest,” adds Dr. Martin Butler (Vlierick Business School).

actions instead of words

The Metaverse for Business journey will officially begin in February 2024. The program is entirely in English. Howest previously announced a two-year project to explore how SMBs can build a sustainable business model around Metaverse technology. Initiatives like this should push the concept of a metaverse beyond marketing gibberish.
