The fragmented wreckage of a small diver that was destroyed when the wreckage of the Titanic exploded during a recent dive was evacuated in eastern Canada on Wednesday, ending a grueling search and rescue operation. Television footage, St. He showed what appeared to be the bow cone and side panel of the submarine, with electronics and wires dangling from the ship to a flatbed truck at the Canadian Coast Guard terminal at St.

The New York-based company Pelagic Research, which owns the Odysseus remote-controlled vehicle used to search for the unfortunate underwater, said its maritime search and rescue operation has come to an end.

“We have completed[our operations]offshore and are effectively disbanding the crew and returning them to their loved ones, and we will bring our assets back to our base of operations in New York,” company spokesman Jeff Mahoney told AFP.

He said search and rescue was an “extremely risky operation”.

“It was extremely difficult and tiring for the team, who worked day and night with almost no sleep during this 10-day operation. It was a very serious process,” he said.

Canadian officials declined to comment on the wreck’s removal.

The Titan was reported missing on June 18, and last Thursday the US Coast Guard reported that all five of the divers died in the catastrophic accident.

The wreck site was found on the seafloor more than two miles (about four kilometers) below the ocean’s surface and 400 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, 1,600 feet (500 meters) from the bow of the Titanic.

The announcement of the accident put an end to the multinational search and rescue operation that caught the world’s attention following the disappearance of the cruise ship. The wreck is expected to be handed over to investigators as investigations into the diving tragedy begin in Canada and the United States.
