Rising inflation has impacted the British royal family’s finances, causing their spending to skyrocket, Buckingham Palace said on Thursday, announcing that King Charles had ordered heating cuts in royal homes to reduce energy costs and emissions.

Sovereign Grant Annual Report detailing expenditures and royal income funded by taxpayers, notes that the monarch has ordered heaters to be lowered to 19 degrees Celsius to cut greenhouse gas emissions, in line with his longstanding environmental campaign.
