A Salesforce survey shows that unsurprisingly, sales reps and helpdesk staff are asking about generative AI tools. 61 percent of sales reps and 63 percent of service reps believe AI will help them do their jobs better. For those who are already using the technology effectively, the figures are even higher at 84 and 90 percent. Yet there is still a group of sixty percent who do not know what to do with AI.
To bring the latter group on board, Salesforce is touring Europe this month to showcase its latest AI products. Since introducing EinsteinGPT in March, Salesforce has continuously integrated AI into its portfolio. The youngest members of the GPT family are SalesGPT and ServiceGPT, which happen to target the audiences of the study described above.
SalesGPT
This AI tool is trained to support sellers throughout the sales process. From prospecting to signing a deal, SalesGPT makes sure you always have the right data. This is possible with SalesGPT, among other things:
Automatically generate sales emails with personalized data for each customer
Transcribe phone conversations with customers
Summarize the sales cycle and update the CRM platform automatically

ServiceGPT
Then there is ServiceGPT, which can be used both in the call center and in the field to automate service. Salesforce lists some functionalities:
Generate automatic answers to customer questions
Create summaries of customer interactions based on case data and history
Create “knowledge articles” based on real-time interactions
Summarize key information for teams that need to be on site
In addition to SalesGPT and ServiceGPT, Salesforce has already announced MarketingGPT, CommerceGPT and SlackGPT, with more to come. All of these tools are based on EinsteinGPT, which in turn is based on OpenAI’s GPT-4 model.
