One Netbook has recently focused on handheld gaming machines, but in its early days it was well known for its compact notebooks. Now go back to focusing on mini notebooks with a very special convertible design.

And it’s that the OneMix 5 uses a design that allows you to slide the screen forward on the keyboard to use it in stand or electronic tablet mode. It’s the first design of its kind from the manufacturer, but you’ll remember it from other sets like Microsoft’s Surface Studio.

What is unusual is to see this on a machine as small as the one in question, measuring 173 x 136.5 x 17.8mm and weighing just 680 grams. it has a screen 10.1″ LTPS diagonal, with a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and touch support for fingers or a stylus with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

One netbook chose the processor Intel Core i7 1250U as the main engine. This is a mobile development with 10 cores and 12 threads, frequencies up to 4.7 GHz and TDP from 9 to 29 watts. The integrated graphics is Intel Iris Xe with enough features for this type of device.

It is accompanied by configurations with 16 or 32 GB LPDDR5-5200 memory and up to 4 TB PCIe Gen4 SSDs. It supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 and runs the latest version of the USB4 Type-C peripheral port, in addition to two additional USB 3.2 ports, one Type-C and the other Type-A.

It includes a 42Wh battery and a 65W USB C charger. Its keyboard is backlit, and from the images posted, it appears almost as big as a full-sized keyboard, though some, like the numeric and functional ones, are half-height. We also see a good large trackpad.

OneMix 5 pre-installs Windows 11 and will be available this summer. The sale price was not given, but it looks very good especially for the special construction of the convertible, which will allow it to be used in different modes of use.
