Google has begun the wide distribution of the new design of the mini player of the music service YouTube Music. The redesigned player started to appear in some users last month and will now be available to everyone.

One of the main innovations was the permanent Publish button, pressing it opens the “Export to device” menu. At the same time, the Cast button will be removed from the main program panel.

Also gone are the previous/next song buttons where swiping left/right on the screen is suggested.

Also, you can no longer scroll down the mini player to clear the YouTube Music playback queue. Presumably this was done to avoid confusing left/right gestures for switching between tracks. Currently, the new mini player is implemented on Android phones and tablets, but has not yet touched iOS.
